If you have read about weight loss scams in the press then you know that there are all kinds of products ranging from tablets and capsules, to different gimmick products that are supposed to help anyone with their weight loss goals. The problem is that usually the products themselves aren’t worthless but they are marketed as they are going to make miracles, when in fact the results are usually quite minimal and short term. Take body wraps for example, which have been used fot dieting purposes for ages, since people get so quick results when they rub some mud on their stomach, and then wear a plastic foil around it for half an hour.
Anyone with half a brain can see the trick that is used here, but most women look like it is a great way to get slimmer, and trust me it is but the results aren’t going to last overnight! That thing is that if you want to lose some inches from your waist using plastic film and some clay under it, will make your body sweat because the heat that it generates isn’t going to get away from your skin like it does usually. This results in an issue that causes vasodilatation as the body is trying to get rid of the heat and you will sweat like a pig. This water comes from the extracellular space that makes yuu really lose inches from your waist, but the inches that you lose are strictly from the loss of water.
This means that if you are doind this to fit some pants for tonight, then it is a great option, but using a body wrap to get permanent weight loss results, is like taking naps instead of sleeping through the night – it sounds great but in the end it just doesn’t work. Here is what works tough:
- Keep using the wrap as it increases the metabolism of the cells that are “heated” – this will result in more calories burnt.
- Start eating more fish oil – this has been shown to increase the amount of fat that is used for energy.
- Start eating vegetables – it takes more energy for your body to digest vegetables than other food, so you get twice the benefits!
- Do regular workouts in the gym, and a regular cardio session.
Keep doing all these and you get real long term results. If you want short term, then doing just #1 is ok.
